During my tenure as an educator, special needs schools were very limited and I had this girl who was a third grader with a brother with special needs who never wanted to be separated from the sister despite being way older for the class.... so he ended up being in my class for a whole one year! I tried to make time for him during seat work and we shared a desk! Because of the little experience I had I took up a part time job to care for an multiple sclerosis patient for a little over three years. I enjoyed the care because I would read and sing for her, its an experience I would leave to remember.
