When I was living in Peru, I was taking care of a beautiful gentleman, he was over 80 years old and I was 13 years old. He was living in a rented room in my father's house with his blind wife. This was my first experience working with elderly people. I used to do his laundry, cooked for him, and did light cleaning after school. I feel like it was yesterday, all the passion and love when I worked for him. I am a Certified Home Health Aide, Hospice Care Certified and Dementia Care Specialist. The best part is being able to help someone else. I love hearing their stories about their lives. They generally are sweet and kind, and want attention and love. They need some type of help - anywhere from housekeeping and errands, something that I am willing to do. I am very patient and compassionate.
