For the past 10 years I have worked in the public schools assisting children with their learning disabilities. While it can be challenging, it brings so many positive points to the position. Being able to see children grasp a concept with continued work is just about the best thing that can happen. Watching children develop their learning with strategies taught to them and succeed is so special! I have worked with children that are autistic, have ADD, ADHD and children that have processing difficulties. I have taught for 30 years and find that special education is a great filed to specialize in. Finding the right strategy that registers with a child in order to succeed is just wonderful for them, parents and the teacher!:)
