Hello, my name is Kaitlyn... I'm 20 years old with 4 years caring for infants and 8 years caring for those with special needs. I have grown up around Autism, and have experience with cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, Deafness and know ASL. I am great at working with children that have limited verbal skills. I see children with special needs like they are any other child. I focus on what they can do not what they can't do. I adjust developmentally appropriate tasks towards the physical needs of each person. I am comfortable driving children to different therapies or field trips. We hired Kaitlyn to be the Nanny of our 5 month old daughter two months ago. We discussed pay and her shift -we informed her, that her shift might change due to my husbands job. The first day that she came to to shadow us we told her that the shift would be different due to my husband schedule as we discussed. She said it was okay, but then After she left she texted me and said it would not work. She did not even give us the decency to discuss other options or pay she just straight up ditched us. It was very unprofessional and rude. She's not trustworthy and true to her word. I would skip and save yourself the headache..
