About Gina

Hello. I have recently left teaching and am seeking my next purpose. Recalling my high school days volunteering as a candy striper in a long-term care facility, and remembering how much I enjoyed those times where I first learned the importance of patience, understanding, and respect so that I could make someone else's day better, I feel pulled in the direction of caring for the elderly. I worked with elderly patients at an audiologist's office where I checked hearing aids, chatting and listening. I also spent 9 months caring for my terminally ill husband. More recently, I spent a couple weeks with a friend whose sister has Alzheimer's. This sister was my roommate and became very dear to me, and I learned so much from her! My heart seeks to make a difference in the lives of others, and I would like to meet to see if this is the place for me.
