I've been caring for children for over nine years! Well really, more like 20 years, since I am the oldest of four siblings. I love childcare because I get to build relationships with children, and help support parents. I'm patient and calm, which helps me stay composed in stressful situations. My creative side helps me come up with fun and engaging activities for the kids. I'm also friendly and approachable, which makes it easy for the children to feel comfortable around me. When communicating with parents, I follow their preferred method. Whether it's verbal communication at pickup or regular updates via text or phone call, I'm happy to accommodate. I also follow the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules. I'm comfortable caring for up to four children at a time, and I have experience with all age groups from infants to preteens. I used to nanny for a family that had four children under 6 years old, so lots of little ones does not scare me!
