About Georgianne

I am a graduate of USC with a Bachelor in Music in flute performance. Subjects that I tutor include Math (up to Algrbra II), English (primary school through graduate level), writing, chemistry, biology, I am currently beginning a Masters program in English in Rhetoric and Composition. I tutored younger students while I was in primary school. I have also done a lot of informal tutoring in English for my friends and classmates while in college. I am a creative, patient and very empathetic tutor. I want my students to succeed and take the time to explain why a rule is in effect e. g. the Oxford or serial comma. When a person knows why something is used, they are more likely to remember the rule. It is important to me to inspire and give my students the knowledge to help them, help themselves. Consistent, regular tutoring sessions (just as in studying) embed concepts more readily than periodic sessions. Setting goals and expectations are important and one can track progress more easily.
