I started pet sitting when I was in high school because I love working with families' furry kids and grew up always having pets. I have previously taken care of two small dogs for a family who constantly traveled for about two years in Los Angeles, CA. Then, I moved to Waverly, IA due to being accepted to UNI and one of my first jobs here was being a Kennel Care Assistant at a local animal hospital which helped me to further advance my skills as a pet sitter. Some of my responsibilities were walking, playing, feeding, and giving water to all of the animals on a daily basis. Bathing, grooming, administering medications, collecting fecal samples, and paying attention to animal's behavior for symptoms of any illnesses. Cleaning indoor and outdoor areas for feces and urine. Sweeping, mopping, laundry, and sanitizing all surfaces of the hospital and kennels to ensure cleanliness for furry patients and their owners. Answer any calls from clients after hours for emergencies or concerns.
