Hello! I am a 25-year-old with extensive experience with special needs caregiving. I have worked as a paraeducator in special needs classrooms where I interacted with students with a variety of needs including cerebral palsy, autism, and down syndrome. I worked with high school students. I also have received my Registered Behavior Technician but am not currently working as an RBT. For the last 10 years I have volunteered with National Sports Center for the Disabled where I helped a variety of participants learn sports and my favorite job was working at wheelchair sports camp where I helped individuals in manual and power wheelchairs learn sports and cared for their basic needs. I also worked as a caregiver for a teenager with Cerebral Palsy and assisted with wheelchair transfers, clothing, bathing, G-tube feedings, and diaper changes. I am familiar with service dogs and how to appropriately interact and care for these special animals.
