When I returned, I worked toward my associate degree focusing in Psychology in Northern Virginia, while nannying for a family of two, one with special needs, from the ages of newborn to age six. Introduced by the family to the Montessori Method, I obtained a position as a Montessori assistant in a classroom. This led to years assisting, then attendance at the Center for Montessori Teaching Education, where I received graduate level education in childhood development, and my Montessori Teaching Credential. My passion the past few years has been teaching positive discipline strategies to parents, and consulting to integrate these principles into the home. I have a bachelor's in Early Childhood and am attending Grad School in Curriculum Dev.
