My name is Genevieve Tarango. I am 23 and I have been working in childcare since I was 17. In 2022 I applied for a position on Care. com after leaving my job at a daycare. The position was for a mother's helper/occasional babysitter. I interviewed with the mom of four shortly after but unfortunately didn't get the job. I worked three nights a week babysitting for a family friend for a few weeks and then that stopped too. I stopped working in childcare and started working for an assisted living facility for people with dementia in Las Cruces. At the same time I started that job, the mom of four asked me to babysit one night. I agreed and babysat. She liked me so much she hired me for twice weekly mothers helper. She's since referred me to more people and now I have several clients and a website!
