My name is Geena and I am a reliable and compassionate Special Needs caregiver. I have 7 years experience working with and teaching children and teenagers diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I work toward behavior management and appropriate communication and expression while delivering honest and realistic boundaries. My passion is creating the most successful and positive experience for my clients using individualized strategies unique to each child. I find a balance of honesty, firm direction and play helps build trust and understanding. l teach handwriting, science and math and have extensive experience managing and de-escalating mild to severe emotional and physical behaviors. I am trained in Crisis Intervention CPI, First Aide Infant and Adult and CPR. I feel comfortable administering medication, assisting with bathroom needs, food sensitivities and collaborating with parents on their end goals.
