About Garrison

I have participated in a many roles that required attentiveness and compassion for those younger than myself. My most extensive experience doing so was when I was drum major for my marching band as a senior in high school. I was one of three drum majors, and we were responsible for overseeing the entire band program, along with all 250+ members. These fellow students of mine ranged in ages from 12-17, and during this time I was 18. Though it was for marching band, this experience revolved mostly around ensuring everyone's needs were met and all voices were heard and considered. I also have extensive experience dog sitting for a variety of people, which posed several unique challenges for me at first. I had to learn how to meet the needs of these pets and always enjoyed my time caring for these pets. I pride myself on my ability to take other's needs into account, and look forward to transferring these skills to taking care of children when parents are busy at work and/or out of town.
