I had been taking care of elementary school children part-time since 2003 (when they were in 1st and 3rd grade). Even then, I would take care of other children on weekends, ranging from 6 months to teenagers with special needs. Thereafter, I studied English writing/education, taught 9th graders, and earned a certification in Special Education. I have also worked with families full time, both for childcare and private tutoring during the remote-education years we had.
