About Gabriela

I'm an education student at GCSU with several years of experience working with young children. I have worked both at a local preschool, and a daycare in my college town. I have been a babysitter all throughout those years, and I prefer to care for up to 2 children at a time. I believe in open and honest communication with parents and follow their preferred method, whether it's verbal updates at the end of the day or updates throughout. I tend to follow the parent's rules in the household to keep things consistent for the kids. I am a big believer that children should spend as much time outdoors as possible. As a caregiver, I try to give them the opportunity to safely explore nature and the world around them in a way that engages their imaginations. I also believe that sensory engagement is essential for child development, and work to incorporate that in my practices as well.
