Gabriela has been our nanny for the past 2 years (!!), since our daughter was 4 months old. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Gabby -- she has truly become a member of our family. We expected to put our daughter into daycare when she turned 1, but we've had such a wonderful experience that we put off daycare as long as possible! I have been reading the other reviews that people have written for Gabriela, and I can't agree more -- and I don't know if I'll be able to say it more eloquently than they have, but I will certainly add my own. Gabby is extremely responsible, punctual, and I have never had any concerns about the safety of my child in her care. She is also an incredibly warm, generous, kind, and understanding person and I have seen that my daughter really thrives with her. Gabby has impressed us from day 1. As an example: We have an older kid (7 year difference) so we thought we knew how this baby thing worked, and had resigned ourselves to another kid that wouldn't nap. In comes Gabby, and voila! the baby was on an age-appropriate nap schedule in just a couple of weeks time. It was incredible! Of course, every new idea or adjustment she suggested was done in consultation with me, and I never felt like I was being undermined or having my toes stepped on. I was just fortunate to have someone who has great ideas and truly cares about my kid. Gabby is super proactive and creative. She is always looking for activities in and out of the house to do with my daughter. When she was younger, they used to go to reading times at the libraries and local play-places and splash pads. Now that she's a little older, they have really opened up their repertoire. There's always something fun to do! Gabby also has a very sweet relationship with my older daughter, even though she does not regularly care for her. We will definitely continue to use Gabby as a babysitter and keep in touch!
