I'm not known to jump ship but will stay through until the end, typically until memory care is needed. Companionship and talking, listening to all their stories are priceless. Dementia and Alzheimer's are my favorite. Yes, it's difficult but so very rewarding. True friendships have formed and will continue for as long as I live.
