About Francine

I am a 79-year-young college graduate. I am retired after a 30 year career in NYC public housing. As part of the housing staff, some of my responsibilities included working with special needs seniors and persons with disabilities. I enjoyed this work over the years as I am a naturally warm and compassionate person. Two of my elderly uncles resided with me during their final years of their lives. Being able to care for them during this challenging time was very meaningful for me. It helped me gain close perspective and insight into the aging process. I felt very rewarded knowing I was making a positive difference in their lives. More recently, before I moved to NC from MA, I was caring for an 85-year-old woman four days a week. Her care included her hygiene needs, food preparation, doctor visits, shopping, and cooking. We had fun together! I can be flexible with hours/days and I am available on Sundays.
