As far as a Caregiver of 8 years, I worked for LEAD and took care of two special ladies. I prepared their daily and weekly medications. I cooked, laundry, grocery shopping and errands. I took them to doctor and dentist appointments. I then sat with a 97-year-old man with Alzheimer's. I was mostly just his companion with light duties of care. In the past I have taken care of my deceased husband, mother and step father. Whatever their needs were: meds, baths, dressing, help walking, housework, shopping or companionship. Recently I took care of a 74-year-old female with dementia for 2 years. We went to the recreational center, shopping, riding and anything to occupy her. Great companions we were. Housework, laundry, light cooking and dispensed medication. Should you consider me, I will do my best to treat your love one as one of my love ones, with love and kindness.
