I am an enthusiastic and caring 25-year-old female. Despite my young age, I have over a decade of experience working with special needs kids. As young as 14 years old I worked as a summer camp counselor all throughout highschool providing one-on-one counseling to kids with severe special needs. During the school year I was a part of one of my highschools clubs that integrated special needs kids into the student body through sport. I was deeply invested and became the President of this club working with special needs kids. I then attended Brown University where I studied cognitive neuroscience learning a lot about the biological processes of the neurodivergent community. After graduating from Brown I became an ABA therapist, where I was providing behavioral therapy for special needs kids. I have worked with children with cerebral palsy, downsyndrome, autism, ADHD/ADD, ODD, and many more. Special needs care is especially salient for me given I have two cousins that are autistic.
