This past year I was an elementary Academic Intervention Service (AIS) reading teacher in the Lockport City School district. I mainly teach word work and reading comprehension to 3rd and 4th graders who struggle with reading. I enjoy this role immensely and I would like to continue work similar to this in the summertime. I was raised in Lockport and went to college in New York for musical theater where I earned my Bachelor in Fine Arts. Besides the arts, I have always had a passion for teaching. So, after traveling and working after college I attended Niagara University (NU) and completed my Master of Science in Elementary Education. While attending NU I had the wonderful experience of teaching preschool at our Lockport YMCA. My graduate student teaching experience has been in Niagara Falls and at Roy B. Kelley in Lockport. I am certified as an elementary school teacher (B-6).
