About Flora

I am truly passionate about bringing support and joy into the lives of elders and their families! I enjoy sincerely getting to know the people I work with in order to learn their story and cater to their individual needs. Each client and home I work within is unique, so I try to treat my clients as such, adjusting to their situation. It's hard to ask for help and I want to validate that experience, often it's the fist step towards healing. When working with the elderly like to try and cater to my clients and their individual interests. Some examples of things I have done with past clients include, but are not limited to: knitting, redecorating/organizing, baking/cooking, laundry, gardening, shopping, looking through old photos, seated exercises or going on walks. I am also a visual artist and especially enjoy assisting clients with craft projects such as painting, drawing, coloring, sewing, etc. I have worked in a therapeutic inpatient setting with elders with dementia and Alzheimer's.
