Hi! My name is Fiona and I've been working with children since my freshman year of high school. I attended a technical school where I was in a program for students wishing to pursue early childhood education. I had the opportunity to co-teach in a preschool, creating and teaching my own lesson plans. I interned with an elementary school teacher in my senior year, often assisting her students one-on-one. I work as a daycare teacher at the YMCA caring for children 6 months to 10 years old. I also have many years of babysitting experience across ages. These experiences have taught me the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive. I have first-aid training and am CPR-certified. I am a senior psychology student at UVM with a passion for child development. I love reading, board games, and playing pretend with the kids I work with. I love pets and can help with feeding/walking and also help with cooking and light cleaning.

I wholeheartedly recommend Fiona! She was our babysitter throughout an entire summer and was an ideal blend of responsibility and fun. Her enthusiasm perfectly complemented the maturity she brought to the role, which my daughter adored. Fiona consistently introduced engaging and educational activities while also fostering discipline and respect. My daughter always eagerly anticipated their time together, a testament to the wonderful experiences they shared. We were so impressed that we begged her to come back and watch our daughter again for winter break and the following summer. Fiona is truly exceptional!
