About Fiona

Hi! My name is Fiona and I am currently a student at Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island, but I am from New Jersey! A little bit about me is that I used to foster dogs for 6 years, which was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Apart from fostering, I have worked as a babysitter for 7 years, and I am currently an employee at the YMCA in Newport. My current jobs are both the after school program where I get to hang out with kids ages pre-k to 3rd grade and help them with homework, or play fun games until their parents come. I also get to work a "Child Watch" program, where children ages 5 months-12 years come in and play together while parents are out. Through these jobs I have learned patience and understanding, while also developing clear communication and leadership skills. I absolutely love working with kids and helping families when they need an extra hand. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
