I am currently a 3rd grade teacher (also have experience with 1st and 8th graders) that works at a school that accommodates scholars with a special needs. About 40% of our students are on the Autism spectrum and about 80% of our students have their own individual education plan. When it comes to kids with special needs, many tend to see it as a task but in reality the only difference is that they may need more support but they are children that are just looking for your love, care, and support.
