About Farida

Farida cared for our then infant daughter between February 2011 and December 2012. She was an excellent nanny- attentive, gentle and always very patient with our baby. Our baby had moderate levels of acid reflux, slept very little, and was accustomed to constant attention and stimulation because we practiced attachment parenting at home. Farida was extremely responsive to all of her needs, and our daughter welcomed her happily every morning. Farida's work ethic, her integrity and her humility are all wonderful qualities that make her a strong role model for young children, who are spending long periods of the day with her. Farida was consistently prompt and reliable in her availability. I found it easy to communicate with her, and she was receptive to very specific instructions, such as how our baby should be put to sleep, how much time she should spend outside etc. We had grandparents living with us for extending periods of time while Farida was with us. Later, our daughter attended daycare part time while Farida continued to care for her 2 days a week. Farida was very accommodating and flexible through all of these transitions and made it easy for us to make the right decision for our daughter, at each stage of her development. I should also point out that Farida is trilingual, and would be a great asset to a family looking to expose their children to other languages. Farida made it possible for me to thrive in an extremely demanding, new job in the months following maternity leave, because I felt reassured about the quality of care my daughter received in my absence. I interviewed 15+ nannies before I met Farida, and there were many, many times afterwards when I reflected on how fortunate my family was to have found her.
