Evelyn cared for my 94 year old father for 4 years until his passing . My father was very strong, tall man who despite suffering stroke, congestive heart failure, insulin, independent diabetes and /PEG tube dependent he was driven to stay mentally and physically engaged. My father absolutely loved having Evelyn care for him. He thrived with her active support and care. She is a pleasure to have around and very honest She has a broad knowledge base and naturally good common sense. She has a wide white range of skill sets, diverse experience and quick to learn new skills or protocols that will make someone’s life better. My father felt and was very comfortable and safe in every situation with Evelyn. She provided any and all hygiene care, including showering, bathing , toilet requirements ,shaving nail trimming. She provided them in a manner made him feel comfortable and respected. Even a shave was done gently and in a way it was a treat like a spa day. She encouraged and worked on daily exercise/ physical therapy program as directed also for fun and enjoyment. Excellent understanding of anatomy and how to best position and move to a person’s ability. Constant guarding for fall risk when walking or transferring from wheelchair or chairs or bed. My father was a very tall man and she was excellent at keeping him safe and mobile. Evelyn is in an Amazing Cook a preparing healthy tasty food. She can package meals that you can use later. Unfortunately my father was dependent on a feeding PEG tube feeding. She was required it card and use of the peg tube for medication, nutrition, etc.. Do to the stroke, my father also had speech issues and physical limitations due to age and his heart. Evelyn worked with him on speech and communication as well as physical activity and exercise exercises. With speech, she would use books that we had four stroke also aphasia and other tools that she learned from speech therapy. Also would work on projects building or fixing clocks or any activity talking about life experiences, etc.. General fun. She does everything to encourage a positive attitude and support of your well-being. My father was diabetic and independents tracked his glucoseand provided insulin injections based upon glucose levels. She’s excellentat logging daily, vital signs, medication, and daily activities. Each of our four caregivers used this log multiple times a day. In general, Very on top of all medical concerns, medications wound care, nutrition. She’s on top of everything all the time. Excellent written and verbal communication. Evelyn has exceptional, interpersonal skills and communicates well with the person she’s caring ( even my father who had communication challenges from the stroke ) the family, nurses, Physical therapist &very important she gets along with other coworkers. We had three other full-time caregivers at the same time working different shifts they enjoyed all working with Evelyn. She’s very much a team player and self starter. She’s respectful of the environment that she’s working in keeping every area very clean. She is knowledgeable of germ cross contamination in every situation, medical and food preparation. Excuse everything very clean.. She’s also just a great housekeeper and organizer if you need it. Over the years, my father had a number of surgical procedures and illnesses. Evelyn was excellent post surgery care and rehab. Great driver my dad enjoyed outings. My father enjoyed going for a drive or to someplace fun to see but she also spent hours at the hospital with us. My mother lived in home with my father, and she’s very much enjoyed having Evelyn around too. Arrived-early evening and spent the night until breakfast next morning. She stayed directly across from my father and was available all night long for anything that he needed. He did not sleep much at night. I needed to get up often or just required nurturing. I know from personal experience is difficult to find somebody capable of doing this was such a good attitude. If she’s there, she’s 100% attentive at all times. It was greatly appreciated allowing my mother to have some rest. This also kept my father, safe content and happy. She’s very comfortable and a pleasure to have in your life. She is honest person in every aspect of her life and will treats your family, your home, anything you trust her to care for with the utmost care and respect. I couldn’t recommend her more.
