About Evelyn

Hello! Hola! Salam! My name is Evelyn. I'm a Chicago native and I moved to Pittsburgh last year. Pre-covid I was working at a university in Morocco, and most recently, I worked at a nonprofit. I love working with children and am excited that I have the time to do so right now. I want to be intentional about where I'm going and am contemplating grad school as a next step. In the mean time, I want to work with children. My little brother was born when I was 13, and caring for him as his big sister taught me so much. He is 12 now and we are still close. For four years during high school I coordinated childcare programming on weekends and during the summer at my local community center. I love providing structure through fun and creative activities. A few words to describe myself are responsible, playful, and compassionate. I love animals and plants. I think of myself as a nurturing person. I speak English, Spanish, and some Arabic.
