About Esme

I have had experience tutoring children in math and writing, ages 7-11. This was in Massachusetts where I was volunteering for MCAS test preparation, (a standardized test in Massachusetts) focusing on math and writing. I also volunteered working with children of the same age range who had just arrived from another country, and most of these students were children of low-income families. I enjoyed being a tutor and being able to work with students one-on-one because, compared to my teaching experience, I was able to work individually and felt that I was able to focus on and appreciate more where they thrived and where they needed improvement.
