Hi there! I have worked with children and adults with both physical and mental handicaps - both in group settings and one on one. I spent last summer working with children with chronic and fatal illnesses, many of whom had Autism Spectrum Disorders. Additionally, I nannied for the sweetest gal with CLOVES Syndrome - a rare overgrowth syndrome leaving her with an amputation and spinal abnormalities. Both of these experiences have led me to a love of children with special needs. Helping kiddos who need a little extra help is something I am incredibly passionate about because every child deserves the chance to "feel like a kid." I've worked with nonverbal children as well.
