Hello, I'm a patient care provider. I have experience with individuals with disabilities/Alzheimer's through both working for the school district (years ago) and care facilities. In the past I lived with someone having Asperger's. Certain things had to be a certain way. I learned quite quickly to take pictures and memorize things around the house. Was fun living with him and helping out where I could. I have some sensory issues left after a surgery. The biggest "quirk" if you could call it, I can't wear socks. I have worked on de sensitization, and continue to do so. There isn't much that bothers me. Every person is different. Sometimes it's learning behavior and about the person and adjusting from there.
