Hi! My name is Erin, and I am a current full-time early childhood educator seeking to nanny part / full time beginning mid-June in New York City. I am hoping to work more hours over the summer, and then work part-time from the fall as I begin my MSW. I have been working with 2-5-year-olds for the past three years, and have worked with 2-14-year-olds in the past. I have reggio-emilia experience, and am happy to bring that into the home. I am comfortable doing whatever you may need in the house, and love pets as well. In my free time I also sing in a choir and play piano!

Erin is truly an incredibly rare gem to find, not only as a caregiver but as an overall person. We were fortunate enough to have her as our son's early childhood teacher when he started school for the first time at age 2.5 and when the school year ended, we were able to have Erin graciously help us on many weekends with both him and his younger sister. Our son is now 4.5 and our daughter is 2.5, and Erin was with us through our journey with many transitions including potty training with our daughter. We most-definitely benefited from Erin being an Early Childhood teacher as she brings a nice balance of structure and free play with the children and was always willing to work on many various projects with them, as well as improvising and bringing her own projects and crafts to curate. Erin is incredibly flexible and willing to help in whatever way she can (or that you ask) to support your children while they are in her care. From the typical nap time, to meals, to reading stories and bedtime, she also happily does bathtime and is great at using her overall judgment with things like weather appropriate clothing, necessary baths after coming in from outside, etc. Erin is the kind of individual you want your kids around who not only has very positive, patient, and fun-loving energy, but she also has a healthy balance of holding gentle yet firm boundaries as well, which all children need. The most important quality we found in Erin is that she is more than trustworthy. It took us over 3 years to truly find someone that we trusted enough to leave our kids in the care of, and our only regret is that we didn't have Erin in our lives sooner. Among being trustworthy, kind, caring, patient, loving and who we'd consider family - she is very mature and reliable. We cannot recommend Erin enough, and you will find yourself incredibly fortunate should Erin join your family, too!
