I have been a Nanny for 20 years. I also worked at UCP and IDS with children and teens with special needs. I worked in home as a line therapist helping implement OT. I would also take the kids or teens out to events to help them socialize. I also have family with special needs. My cousin is 33 and requires a lot of care but she is our families ray of sunshine so we all pitch in! I also have experience with hospice due to my Dads long term illness. I also work currently with children with ADHD. I also have a personal understanding of disability due to my brain aneurysm in 2022. Due to the nature of my aneurysm I temporarily had to walk with a cane and wasn't able to always clearly express what I needed. I am all better now and back to my life as it was before. But it gave me a huge understanding of challenges others face.
