Not only am I an elementary education/special education major, my motivation for all of this is my nephew, B (6 years old, non verbal). B was born with DiGeorge syndrome, Autism, and several other disabilities. Over summer, when I was home in California, I drove/picked up from school, took him out to eat, and spent lots of time with him. I feel very confident with my abilities to get to know, learn, and adapt to each child/peer of mines disabilities.
