I first met Erica at school. She was my daughter 's Occupational Therapist. She was so passionate and very creative. She always had new ways of challenging my daughter while still making it really fun. Then covid hit and to say the least it was challenging to do OT via zoom for a child with cognitive disabilities. We spent quite a bit of time and had many conversations trying to figure it out. Through this we grew a friendship. She ended up coming to our home to work with her. She is an over and above person who genuinely cares for humans with differences. It's been a few years now and our friendship continues to grow. I have been in her home on several occasions and met her beautiful family. Her home is clean, happy and full of play-based learning adventures for her adorable son. She is a truly exemplary human. I would think anyone she cares for in her home will be very lucky not only because of her education as an occupational therapist, but because of the way she loves her family, friends and community.
