About Erica

Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to be a teacher. This inspired me to find jobs in child care. From 10th grade to 12th grade I worked at an after school care (grades k- 8) at a Catholic school in my hometown. For the last two summers I was lucky enough to work at a summer camp called Camp Navigate which teaches soft skills to kids from pre-k to middle school and helps them retain knowledge from their previous school year. My first summer I was a part time mentor in the kindergarten room. This summer I was able to be the lead mentor in the same room and was responsible for teaching/going over curriculum, creating activities, and keeping the kids happy and safe. Even though I am now in Nashville for school, I would love to still help kids learn and have fun especially given the current circumstances with online school and Covid-19. I'm looking for a part time job that can work with my classes.
