About Erica

I have 17 years of child care experience and have been providing childcare since I was a teenager. I have a Masters degree in social work and am a social worker with the Department of Family and Children's Services in Santa Clara County. I was previously a therapist for high acuity youth in foster care. I have experience working with children and youth with high-risk behaviors and mental health challenges, including: self-harm, suicidality, aggression, truancy, defiance, substance use, bullying, and trauma. I also have previous experience working as an assistant teacher in an early childhood development program with children ages 0-8. I am passionate about child development and I value ensuring the safety of children while helping them grow. I have a car/driver's license and am able to provide transportation, homework help/tutoring, games/activities, errands, housework, and helping build kids' emotional intelligence and social skills.
