I have experience working with individuals with mental health concerns and persons with Parkinson's disease. As a community nurse for 3 years, I worked with clients with severe mental health concerns (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia etc.) to help them be independent in the community. I worked with clients in the community setting (their residence and doctor's appointments etc.) to provide medication management, education about their illness, and to manage co-occurring physical health concerns. I have a passion for working with individuals with mental health concerns who face significant struggles in life that are not well understood by most of society. Providing a safe space for these individuals and to grow is truly rewarding. I also have 3 years experience working with persons with Parkinson's disease in a medical office setting and am familiar with the myriad of health concerns that occur with this disease (including medication issues).
