My 4 years as a teacher's aid in temple's Hebrew School gave me the skills to work with students of all ages ranging from 9-14 years old. In December 2020, I returned from the Peace Corps where I received 3 months of training to be a Junior High Science in rural Liberia for a year and a half. Since January I have been tutoring with North Star Tutoring a 10-year-old in any subject she needs. I value different learning methods and enjoy taking the time to help the student discover which method works better for him or her so they can learn more easily on their own in the future. I know basic Hebrew, intermediate Arabic, and advanced French. I have taken Kiswahili, Turkish, and Kpelle classes so I freshly understand how a new language can be overwhelming and frustrating, but also how connecting with native speakers can be. I'd love to get the chance to share my love of language with your child.
