About Erica

Hi! Im Nicole (I had to use my first name, Erica, for my background check). I have been a classroom teacher in Florida for 20 years. I taught SPED PK for six years, K-5 for six years and Art for PK-8 for 8 years. In January of 2024 I left the classroom due to large class sizes and other challenges public school education has. In September I relocated to Los Angeles and have been looking for tutoring/child care opportunities. I miss teaching and would now like to focus on small groups and one on one learning. I'm looking for a job that provides me with flexibility and the opportunity to share my knowledge. I helped raise my eight nieces and nephews from the moment they were born. I have a close relationship with all of them. I am patient, creative and trustworthy. I believe children should be allowed to explore the world around them and I love to create space for them to do so. In my spare time I am usually painting, watching movies or traveling.
