About Eric

Eric has been our sons’ nanny for the last 6 months, working 4 days a week from 8:30 am - 5 pm Monday through Thursday. Hiring Eric was one of the best decisions we made. Eric is reliable, always on time, and has had a very positive effect on our two 1-year old sons. Over the past 6 months, our kids have learned new words, are eating a wide variety of healthy foods, and have learned how to pick up their toys thanks to Eric. Beyond providing essential care, which Eric does very well, he also cooks them delicious, healthy kid-friendly meals, and keeps them very entertained and active. Eric is a safe driver with a sensible, reliable car who takes our kids to the park every day. Eric always leaves the kitchen and kids’ play areas cleaner and more organized than when he arrived. He has also educated us on child development, and has ensured that they’re thriving and on track. Their language and communication skills have definitely improved thanks to him. He also clearly communicates what they can’t do, so they can stay safe and not hurt one another, and he does this effectively. Eric also supports our children’s interests with enthusiasm. For instance, our sons are very interested in trucks, and he’ll read them the truck books with truck voices and enthusiasm, and knows the different construction vehicles in the books. Our kids also love basketballs and soccer balls, and he’ll take them to the rec center where they can find them and play in the grass. Eric is never really on his phone (unless he’s sending us a few cute photos documenting the day) and is very present with them. Eric is in tune with our kids’ energy levels and different natures. One of our sons is super active and another is very active but also likes to observe things and chill sometimes. With our super active son, he’ll run around with him at the park. With our more chill observer son, Eric will also sometimes take him to (safely) watch the trains. We are going to miss Eric, but know he has to move to San Francisco because of his partner’s new job and that he misses the city (he used to live there). If we could keep him forever we would. Eric is wonderful, and if you have the chance for him to be your child’s nanny (and you are very good people, because Eric deserves to be with a good family), take it.
