About Emma

My name is Emma! I started working with kids when I was in high school teaching dance classes, moved to teaching after school and summer programs with elementary age children in college, and I'm now a 4th year setting 3 special education teacher in a middle school. I spend my days with 9 students and my amazing paraprofessional. I am proud of my adaptability skills, my determination to make improvements of any size daily, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with all involved in a child's day to day. I am organized and routine focused, but that does not mean I'm not flexible. I have familiarity with AAC devices, eye gaze, and basic sign language. I love making all kids feel seen and understood. I'd describe my personality as loyal, open, and flexible. In my spare time, I am varsity dance team head coach:) My skills include being resourceful, strong communication with all, and my flexibility to make child focused decisions.
