About Emma

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, supportive, and enthusiastic. I like working with kids because I enjoy fostering a safe, supportive environment for them to be themselves and play, learn, and feel supported. Kids show their true personalities when they feel safe and I love to be able to see them open up. I'm looking for a job where the family and I have a relationship. Having a relationship builds mutual trust which I think it's important between a care giver and the child. I started working with kids when I was 16. Many of my family members began having kids and I babysat them often throughout the last few years. In my spare time, I like to be outside, particularly in the ocean! I love to snorkel, paddleboard, and swim. My more feasible hobbies include crocheting, crafting, and cooking. My skills include providing support, patience, and being attentive.
