About Emmalyn

Hey! I have two main experiences with senior care! My great aunt in her 90s lived at another house on our property for about a year. She was almost completely deaf, and in a wheelchair. I helped her get around the house, prepare food and kept her company. She did end up moving to a nursing/assisted care facility, where my dad and I continued to visit her regularly and supply her with different treats and things she liked. Additionally, I worked in dietary at an assisted living center for around six months before getting back to school. We navigated medications, made sure those with allergies were cared for properly, and other things of that nature. Also would hang out with the residents and listen to their stories and had great relationships with a lot of them! Also helped with different events at the assisted living center like Bingo, Grilling Nights outside, and several concerts.
