About Emma Katherine

Hi, my name is Emma! I graduated summa cum laude from Simmons University with a degree in psychology (and a focus in child development) and am currently working as a full-time research assistant at Harvard Medical School. I am looking for part-time babysitting to supplement my full-time job, ideally on the weekends or the occasional weeknight! I love working with children and my experience includes a wide variety of settings and roles, including babysitting and nannying, mentorship programs, as well as teaching (STEM) and homework assistance. Most recently, before getting my job as a research assistant, I was a part-time nanny (after-school care) for an 8 and 12-year-old, and then a full-time day nanny for an 8-month-old. I also believe my education based in child developmental psychology has informed me of the most up-to-date and research-backed approaches to parenting, teaching, and child care which I believe are very relevant to any setting working with children.
