I have always been happiest in jobs where I care for others. My previous experience includes being a camp counselor at a Sabes JCC, which consisted of caring for children (elementary to junior high) with specific mental obstacles, from social anxiety to autism, and helping them surmount mental blocks throughout their day: working for Americorps, where I provided literacy tutoring for kids at the South Side Boys and Girls Club in St. Paul; teaching a journalism class for fourth- and fifth-graders at Hamline Elementary School; and shadowing teachers as I work toward a degree in education. My goal in being a nanny is to foster a safe, fun, creative and intellectually stimulating day for each kiddo!
