About Emma

Hello! My name is Emma, and I've worked in after-school and summer camp childcare for 5 years. As a supervisor at the Carmel Youth Center, my responsibilities ranged from facilitating art and music activities to helping with homework and playing games/sports! That being said, the age-range I feel most comfortable working with is ages 6-13. Along with traditional forms of education (like STEM and language arts), I believe play-based learning is an important component of a well rounded education and best practices in caregiving. Finding activities that your child finds engaging and actively enjoys is my way of creating meaningful connections with little humans, not only to enrich my own life, but to embrace a space of mutual empathy and understanding, or at least approach every situation with an attempt to understand. Current work: part-time barista and part-time apprentice (I will re-evaluate current hours of employment upon hiring)
