About Emily

Hello! I'm Emily and I am a rising senior at Horace Mann School. I've lived in New York for over 11 years now. THE BASICS: 2 yrs of paid babysitting experience (elementary schoolers) 4 yrs of tutoring experience (1-1 tutoring 2nd graders to 8th graders) 2 yrs of paid petcare experience (walking and pet/house sitting) WHAT SETS ME APART? I have firsthand experience working with neurodivergent children. A younger family member whom I have lived with for 12 years has OCD. I myself have ADHD, allowing me to more effectively relate to children who may understand and see the world differently than neurotypical people. I've been babysitting a lovely pair of elementary school kids for two years now - I play Dungeons and Dragons with them, dance to their favorite songs, and even comfort them when they're scared of the dark. I can also do housework, like preparing meals and cleaning. I can't wait to get to know you and your child(ren)!
