About Emily

Experience: 10 yrs

COVID-19 vaccinated

I have my Associates degree in Arts with the classes in Early Childhood Education to make me teacher qualified. I started nannying in high school and have been a nanny for infants, toddlers, and school age children. Then, I wanted to further my career in childcare and moved on to work for head start/early head start in all the classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old as an Assistant Teacher. Currently, I am working at a Montessori school in the infant classroom as an Assistant Guide. I have also been a Lead Toddler Guide and a floating teacher. Early childhood is my passion and I have formal training in RIE and Montessori. I recently became a mother and my son is 9 months old. I am looking to move out of the school setting and back into the full time nanny life for a family that would allow me to bring my son to care for their child(ren). I am CPR/First Aid/AED/Choking certified, vaccinated against COVID-19, and have my own reliable vehicle.

Emily was a volunteer in my classroom, as part of a high school class. She was an excellent student, and was genuinely appreciated by every student and teacher that worked with her. She was prompt, intuitive, related with the children on their level, and worked to be both professional and caring in helping teach first graders in my class. She took direction very easily, and the first time. She carried out all duties with enthusiasm, pride, and thoughtful intent. Emily realized that her role, though just 75 minutes per day, 3 days per week, was short, she made the most of her opportunities. She related so well with the children, dressed in a respectful way, and it was obvious that she valued her role with leading children.
