Hi everyone! I am currently a tour guide in the National Parks, beginning to pursue higher education in Nursing. I graduated from Penn State in 2018 with a degree in Outdoor Education, and a focus in Special Ed. I have about 12 years of paid experience, with all different age groups. In the past 10 years, I have spent my time working Environmental Education at a Camp , leading 10 week Gap Semesters, and professional guiding in the National Parks. I'm a pretty upbeat person who can make any activity fun- cleaning, cooking, homework, and play can all be equally as entertaining for young's when presented in the right way! I love baking, crafts, music, and everything outdoors. For the past 12 years, I have taken care of my step-sister who has Down syndrome and type 1 diabetes. I am very comfortable working with an insulin pump, but also am capable of doing injections. I strive to continue to offer inclusive programming everywhere I teach! Hope to hear from you soon!

Emily is a rare and amazing find! She is so naturally astute with children and those abilities are only out shined by the obvious pleasure and joy she takes in providing care. One thing that makes her so unique is her maturity level when troubleshooting any issues. My daughter has type 1 diabetes and I trust Emily implicitly with her care. Truly a great find!
